Spain is the most visited country by us Brits. It’s not difficult to see why – easy and cheap to get to, great weather and oh so much to see and do. For the foodies, there’s the enticing prospect of tapas: Jamón, pementos de padrón and patatas bravas. If architecture is your thing, marvel at Gaudi’s indelible hand print across Barcelona, the majestic Alhambra Palace or the sleek, futuristic lines of Bilbao’s Guggenheim. For those looking to get away from it all, the Pyrenees offer awe inspiring views and epic hiking opportunities. What’s that, the beach is more your thing? Yep, Spain has you covered on that front too.

For me, Spain’s Balearic Islands and sunny south coast hold a multitude of fond childhood memories. Those never-ending summer holidays spent running between the pool and the Mediterranean.

Nowadays, I’m all about Spanish city breaks. Leaisurely strolls and getting lost with my camera. Over-indulging on tapas. Finding a well placed terrace to relax and watch sunset over a nice, cold cerveza.
