Namaste! Welcome to Nepal, the land of fluttering prayer flags and stunning mountain landscapes.
When I think of Nepal, the image that first springs to mind is that of mountains. For those of you who enjoy climbing or trekking, Nepal is likely high on the ‘to visit’ list. Due to its geographical position, straddling the boundary of the Eurasian and Indian tectonic plates, the country attracts mountain enthusiasts in their droves. Of the 14 mountains on the planet which sit at 8,000m or more, 8 can be found in Nepal.
But there is a lot more to the Nepal than its Himalayan peaks. Dig a little deeper, and you will find a rich tapestry of life.
